Begin the Rock Lake Trail behind the trailhead kiosk at Rock Lake trailhead. The trail is quite mellow near the beginning with only a few rocky sections. After hiking through intersection N7, you'll head in a counterclockwise direction.
The backcountry lakes are a highlight between N4 and N29, so stop and take in the views while enjoying a snack.
From N29 to the trailhead the trail becomes a bit more rugged with a bit more climbing but it is just as enjoyable as the earlier sections.
This trail system is heavily used by mountain bikers so be aware of your surroundings and other users on the trail.
