The white-blazed Trestle Trail starts at the Otterkill Road parking area and ascends steeply up to the red-blazed Otterkill Trail on the right. The ascent here starts to level out when you reach the overlook.

The rest of the trail is moderate to intermediate to the connection to the Jessup Trail, which follows Baby Brook Creek steeply up the mountain. This trail can also be accessed from the Schunemunk Mountain Trailhead and Parking Access on Taylor Road by way of the Jessup Trail or the Sweet Clover Trail.
