Overview
A great hike with some nice overlooks.
Description
This trail starts out as an old logging trail (it could be wet if hiking in the rainy season or in spring). It is nice and wide with little obstacles. Take a left at the first major fork where it starts to get a little narrower with some rocks, but nothing crazy.
There will be another left turn to get you onto the loop part of the trail; this is near the top. On a nice foggy day, it looks pretty cool. There will be two outlooks; the first outlook will be a rock face. This will be the higher of the two. Both outlooks look toward the lakes, but you won't see much of the lakes. You can see down toward some ponds.
This trail is low-key and there is very little traffic, which is nice. There is not much of an elevation gain, but it is a good trail to take the dogs and to get outside. It's a great trail to hike or to pack weight to get a good exercise to train for the White Mountains.
