“The most remote loop of the Andrews University Trail network.
”
Parts of the trail in the valley can hold moisture after it rains.
Description
This outer loop heads off the Blue Trail with a moderate climb at the beginning. The route then leads through a field before re-entering the woods. Once in the trees, you'll find that you are hiking along the top of a ridgeline parallel to Highway 31.
There are some twists and turns topside until the trail ultimately loops back around through some turns to head back downhill to get you into the valley. The Red Trail ends with a long straightaway that will eventually loop back around to return to the Blue Trail.
