Overview
Description
The hike to More Mesa Beach begins at the dead end of Mockingbird Lane. From the trailhead here, the trail heads straight to the south while passing a few diverging trails along both sides. After hiking on the trail for 1/2 of a mile you'll reach the bluff's edge above More Mesa Beach. The
More Mesa Beach Connector can take you down to the beach down a steep log staircase at this point. Enjoy the sandy beach and hike up and down the coastline as long as you'd like before returning up the staircase and following the same route back to the trailhead at the end of Mockingbird Lane.

Flora & Fauna
Black-shouldered kite, marsh hawk, the northern harrier, and short-eared owl are all birds that can be spotted along the trail.
History & Background
The mesa that you hike over was once owned by Thomas More and the area was part of his Rancho La Goleta in the 1850s.
