Description

The Pettyjohn Trail leads to the crest of the Yolla Bolly Wilderness from Stuart Gap Trailhead, providing access to Black Rock Lake Trail and North Yolla Bolly Lake Trail. The trail is a singletrack dirt path through beautiful old-growth forest, with moderate elevation gain at the beginning of the trail which transitions to steeper scrambling on the crest approach. The trail then follows the backside of the crest downhill to reach the Humboldt Trail.
