Description

The Paynes Lake Trail is a very difficult and steep singletrack trail. The trail leads to the intersection of the Pacific Crest Trail at scenic and popular Paynes Lake. Alternatively, if you are wanting to get to Paynes Lake without the painful climb, you can take the Music Creek Trail to the PCT and hiking north along the PCT.
