Description
This trail will lead you through some of the lower parts of Plumas National Forest to
Feather Falls.
About a quarter-mile from the parking lot, the trail splits. Stay on the left to follow this trail. From the fork, the trail descends steadily, switching back and forth as it makes its way to Bryant Ravine. At 1.1 miles, you cross Frey Creek over a wooden bridge. The forest opens up a little bit after that and offers you a few views of Bald Rock Dome through the leaves.
At 2.5 miles, the trail will start ascending again.
Feather Falls Scenic Trail - Upper Route joins on the right. After another switchback to the left, you reach an overlook with views along Fall River. Keep following the trail. You'll start to hear the falls at this point and get a few glimpses through the trees. The trail will make another switchback to the left. Take the stairs that lead you to the observation platform, where you'll be rewarded with an excellent view of
Feather Falls.
