Overview

Shelf Road is the #1 hike that everyone recommends for visitors to Ojai. It offers great views the entire way, and makes a relatively easy hike that's quite close to town.

Description

The trail connects Gridley Road and North Signal Street via a 1.8-mile dirt road (closed to traffic). Start from either end, and go any distance out and back for great views over the valley. The trail winds through orange and avocado trees, and offers plentiful overlooks.
