Description
From the split with the
White Pine-Snowbird Link, the Baby Thunder Trail heads up a series of switchbacks that traverses through small forests and open slopes within the Snowbird ski resort. In the first couple of switchbacks, in the more forested section are a few fun plywood cutouts (off the trail) of mining buildings or hotels and things that make this trail fun and unique. The trail crosses some small streams and wet areas, but generally has some sort of foot bridge (or at least a pallet) to keep you from getting muddy or messing up the trail. Most of the trail, however, is pretty dry and somewhat rocky but still very manageable and fun for the ascent and descent. After the trail runs across a small ridge, it slowly drops down until it meets up with Rothman Way, just underneath the Gadzoom ski lift.
