Description
Start this trail by hiking up the coast from the Arroyo Burro County Park. Along this portion of the trail there was once a Chumash village, and archeological digs have discovered a plethora of artifacts. There are also tide pools along the trail during low-tide periods that showcase numerous sea creatures.
After roughly 2 miles of hiking along the beach, the trail will bend slightly and you'll pass the Hope Ranch Beach Club. Soon you'll come across the peaceful
More Mesa Beach, which is relatively isolated compared to other beaches in the area. There is a particularly rocky point on the upper part of
More Mesa Beach that marks the end of the
Arroyo Burro Trail.
