Description
The best part of this trail is the distance. It doesn't have many features, but it tours much of the park and has consistent elevation change throughout.
From the main parking lot, head across the road and down the hill past the historic farm. As you drop down to the river, you'll cross paths with the
Spoon Branch Trail. The trail is well marked and you can cut left along the stream to continue. You soon pass the
Spoon Branch/Rock Creek Connector.
At the one-mile point, you'll cross the trail by following the arrows. After another half mile, you'll encounter the trail again – this time staying right and keeping to the outside of the park. After another 1.5 miles, you come to the second intersection. Follow the arrow and stay left only to cross your own trail again. Meander along the perimeter of the park until you come to the creek again and you can head back on the trail you came in on.
