This trail makes for an interesting hike along an old fortress built from 1898-1900. There are two options: hikers can travel along the edge of the the fortress wall for a wide but sometimes bumpy route, or they can hike on top of the wall for a better view and smoother going. At the west end, there are some old cannons still in place looking out over the Oslo fjord.
