Description

The Turkey Trail (recognizable at signposts with a brown "blaze" and white turkey logo) starts from the Ledges Shelter and parking area at the end of Park Road off of 306. The short trail connects the Quarry Loop and the park gem: the Lucky Stone Loop. If hiking from south to north, there will be a couple dirt roads on your right that take you to Park Road and to the Forest Shelter.

The trail is open to bikers and horses. Keep your eyes and ears open for bikers speeding along. If encountering horses, give them the right of way and step off the downhill side of the trail and wait to allow the horse to pass. The trail is popular, so please be friendly and say "hi" to everyone else out enjoying the forest!
