A nice alternative to climbing straight up the exposed ridgeline, this trail takes you along the bottom of a deep ravine. There's a stream during the winter and spring, but it's hard to find because the undergrowth and trees are so thick at the base of the ravine. The trail eventually breaks from the ravine and makes its way to a ridge which it follows until it joins up with the main trail to Grandeur Peak.
