Description

The start of this trail at the Swank Trail can be easy to miss. Look for it just after crossing Cook Creek. Although it is overgrown in some areas, the trail is easy to follow as it follows Cook Creek westward for about 1/2 mile and then veers right to climb to the ridge. Aspen groves in the valley make this a beautiful hike. The 3-way intersection at the ridge is obvious but when returning, coming north on the ridge and looking for the eastward turn, it is easy to miss.

Flora & Fauna

A variety of wildflowers.
