Description

While Akima's Way is mainly used as a connector between Sunset Pink and WTB, this short trail has plenty to see along the way. Although it is just shy of a mile long, hikers will enjoy a winding singletrack through open meadows along the side of re-growing hillsides which are lovely when the wildflowers are in bloom, and through a quiet pine forest at the trail's end.

Flora & Fauna

Wildflowers in season including a profusion of fireweed where the hillside has been clearcut. Keep an eye and ear open for deer, elk, moose, foxes, and the occasional black bear.
