This loop of Lagerman Reservoir is a flat, easy, and wide trail. The trail itself isn't much to speak of, but the surrounding views of Longs Peak, the Flatirons, and the rest of the Front Range, make up for whatever character the trail may lack. Additionally, the area is home to many birds of prey such as hawks, bald eagles, and osprey and the wetlands on the western half of the loop attract great blue herons and American white pelicans. There is a picnic shelter near the start of the trail, and the lake is also a great option for fishing or kayaking. You can add on the Open Sky Loop if you are looking for some more mileage.
