Family Friendly Older kids can definitely handle the length of this trail.

This is a Wisconsin State Park and there are fees to enter. $11 for a daily pass or $30 for an annual pass (which is good at any WI state park).

Description

This is an easy trail through grasslands and some forested areas. The forested sections do contain some inclines, but nothing that is too difficult. We took the Blue Trail, but there are other options in the park, and the trails are decently marked, well maintained, and plenty wide. Some spots were a little muddy. If you hike after a decent rain, I could see some spots being muddy.

Flora & Fauna

I saw a number of garter snakes, mice, red-winged blackbirds, and fowl (geese and mallard ducks). Prairie grasses, wildflowers, oak, maple and other trees and shrubs are also found here.
