A very easy trail, but hikers will have to keep alert for some OHV traffic.

Description

The trail is nice and wide (obviously to accommodate ATVs) so you can travel side by side to your hiking buddy. Because this route is shared with those on vehicles, keep your wits about you, and keep an eye out for traffic. There will also be a few places where the path is rutted and rocky.

This trail can be used as one of the approaches to the top of Red Butte. The vast majority of the trail is at a moderate level. During the summer the trail is used a lot by ATVs and Dirt Bikes so be aware of that while hiking the trail. We did see some fresh bear prints on the trail so take proper precautions.
