Description

The elevation change over distance says it all. In a bit under 2.5 miles you climb 3600+ ft in elevation, but the work comes with a reward. This peak offers a 360-degree view of the valley and you'll have no trouble seeing the Oquirrhs, the Salt Lake and Antelope Island, Lone Peak, Box Elder Peak, Mt Timpanogos, Mount Nebo... breathtaking views.

The hardest part of the elevation gain might be the terrain. There are no real switchbacks, the trail follows ridgelines until it no longer can then just shoots straight up the mountain to the next ridgeline. In many places the trail also skirts sheer drop-offs, so if you don't like heights, this may not be the route for you.

Overall though, this route leads to an incredible view and is a real butt-kicker!

3 hour hike for me and my brother. It was a killer to be honest. By the way it’s 2.5 miles up, but it was so worth it in the end! 2.5mi
