To access Salty Dalty, hike the Medaris Ditch Trail from either the west or east end. Accessing from the east end of Medaris Ditch provides a more enjoyable experience, as the west end of Medaris Ditch climbs at a steep grade.

Once on Salty Dalty, begin the gradual climb up the north face of Mount Medaris. The beautiful views of Castle Valley Ranch make the climb to the Medaris Ridge very enjoyable. Once at the intersection with the Medaris Ridge, turn right to access Pubview or the Medaris Ridge.

The left turn is East Medaris, is open to foot traffic only, which makes for a pleasant hiking experience. Please obey all trail regulations while hiking on Mount Medaris.
