Description

Tanks, one of the more interesting features of desert topography, make for great destinations. This wide and often sandy road is nothing too exciting, especially for hikers hoping for a rugged experience. Instead, follow the path as it branches mostly south from Pinto Basin Road. After about 1.5 miles of hiking, you'll reach Stirrup Tank. Once you've explored around the area a bit, simply retrace your steps back to the trailhead.

Located not far from the White Tank Campground, this route is a great and close hike for campers hoping to stretch their legs and reach a scenic end goal.

Flora & Fauna

You'll likely see mesquite and cat's claw along the way.
