Description

This extension to the Petrified Forest Trail has significantly more pieces of petrified wood along the way in all kinds of sizes and shapes. It is however more strenuous than the main loop. Combined with beautiful panoramas of Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, this detour is certainly worth it.
