Description
Expect lots of mosquito in early June. Be sure to wear pants, as some sections are overgrown. Several trees are down across the trail. Lastly, there are a couple bridges along the trail and a couple places where you rock-hop across a very small stream.
Starting from the trailhead, follow the trail as it makes its way up the drainage to begin a hillclimb near the head of the drainage. Follow the climb up the hill as it tackles short, steep grades. Eventually, the trail peaks in elevation and begins a long, steady descent back down the ridge to meet up with the trail from earlier. Follow the trail to the right to head back to the trailhead and your vehicle.
These are some quotes from the kids along the way:
"I hate this place"
"I'm itching from head to toe"
"We can never come back here"
"This is the worst hike"
"We're free! Finally!"
