Overview

A long loop to the summits of Mt. Nabewari and Mt. Tounodake with many scenic views along the way.

Description

This trail begins with a quick bus ride (to Okura Station) away from Shibusawa Train Station. A little over a mile into the hike, there is a trail you can take to see a waterfall. There are many signs along the way which will take you to see many different peaks in this mountain range. It's possible to do more than two peaks in a day. Bring lots of food and water though.

On one peak there is an udon shop, but be sure to take off your backpack before entering because the guy can be really rude if you don't. There are many different ways to get down the mountain. The one here is very steep and not easy until you get to the main road. There are many beautiful views of plants and Mt. Fuji as long as there is no fog. Be mindful of the weather and what time of year you go, and bring appropriate clothing.

Flora & Fauna

Some deer and many birds and other insects. Watch out for leech season.

Lots of stairs help with the steep incline of this mountain.
