Description
This wide and easy track connects from the Rangitoto wharf northeast to Motutapu Island, providing the connection between the two islands. The trail doesn't head to the true summit of Rangitoto, but skirts the eastern flank of the cone, heading through forests as it climbs to the junction with Summit Road. From here, the track turns east toward Islington Bay. Hikers can also connect to the Coastal Track and the Wreck Bay Track from this route.
