Family Friendly
A relatively short and gradual loop that is easily accessible from the visitor center.
Overview
Head in either direction onto the Forest Trail (Boardwalk) or Forest Trail for a tour of the surrounding woods at Glacier Bay with a quick sample of the shoreline.
Description
This loop trail will take you through both the temperate rainforest and the beach environments of Bartlett Cove as it combines the Forest Trail (Boardwalk) and Forest Trail. Begin the featured hike either in front of the lodge (just off the parking lot) or south of the boat ramp between the docks.
The trail surface varies between dirt, crushed rock, and constructed boardwalk. Along the loop, there are two benches and viewing platforms that provide the perfect opportunities to rest and appreciate the breathtaking surroundings of the spruce/hemlock forest.
In the summer, there are guided tours of this loop by park rangers. See the NPS website for more information.
