This trail follows the easier side of the Old Mac trails, with a lower grade than the South Old Mac Trail. The route will lead curious hikers to the jeep road leading up to a fire tower. Make sure you check out the views from the tower...it's worth the 1/2-mile trek up the hill, especially once you've made it this far!

There are plenty of wildflowers and a nice backcountry camping site at the meeting of North and South Old Mac Trail.

There are plenty of rattlesnakes in the area, so be careful to avoid them. Many wildflowers including wild violets and daisies along the trail, especially during the spring.
