All the former carriage roads in the Rockefeller State Park and Preserve are great for the whole family.
Description
This is one of the longest single trails in the Rockefeller State Park and Preserve. It is also the "bridgiest".
The southern end of the trail connects to the
Gory Brook Road Trail and
Eagle Hill Trail just south of NY 117 (Phelps Way). If you take the trail clockwise from the southern end, you'll pass under NY 117 and head north along Gory Brook. This is the side of the trail with all the bridges from which it derives its name.
At northern end of the park just south of Sleepy Hollow Road, the path will turn east away from the brook. The path loops back south with the option to connect to the northern end of
Pocantico River Trail. When you get back to NY 117, you'll get a bonus bridge over the large road.
