Description

The Vineyard Spring Trail is a picturesque stretch of trail that leads down from the ridge and Santee Branch Trail along a small stream. The path has stretches of flat to sloping trail between rougher sections with rocks and tree roots. With a dense tree canopy this trail is heavily shaded in Summer to the point that it feels like a green flume following a stream down to its inlet in the Patapsco. The end of the trail connects with the Grist Mill Trail with a small tunnel under a CSX Railway. This tunnel is prone to flash flooding and it is important not to use this connection under any flooding conditions.
