The parking lot is located on the north end of Arthur's Pass. If you turn onto Punchbowl Road, you can get to the official parking lot. You'll first cross the river on a stout bridge and then cross the creek. Head up a series of stairs for a quick ascent and then things flatten out. The falls creates a huge amount of mist, and as you approach you'll want a rain jacket unless you need to cool off. Get your pictures and head on back.
