Description

The Darnell Creek Horse Trail is a singletrack trail in the Chattaoochee / Oconee National Forest. It is a figure eight loop.

The trail is open, but not fully maintained.

Trail maintenance has started in the April 2017. The track had to be re-routed slightly and no longer crests the Oakey Mountain summit. Additional work is planned in the fall of 2017.

Flora & Fauna

Mostly pine, white oak forest. Timber rattlesnakes are native to the area.
