Description
This trail is rustic and unmaintained with the main purpose being firebreaks and hunter access. To access the trail, take
Transis Camp Road south for a few hundred feet and you arrive at the middle of the trail. Being an old train line, there is not much elevation change. You can take the trail north or south.
Going north, the only complication is when you run into the
Energy Corridor. Just keep going in the general direction and you'll meet back up with trail where it extends into Jordan Lake on a lovely peninsula.
Going south, you pass through some open fields that are often visited by eagles and other birds. The trail ends abruptly at the edge of Jordan Lake where you'll have to turn around.
Flora & Fauna
Eagles, great blue herons, and lots of other birds.
