Overview

This hike begins on a fire road route up from San Pablo through the Aldea la Trinidad, towards the Tajumulco Volcano. From the village, take the steep cobble road, which is not conducive to driving with a van for at least a mile.

Description

After leaving the village on the San Pablo Fire Road, head to the Equality Falls Spur (Cataratas de la Igualdad) trail to see a waterfall. This is a steep hike, with a small waterfall and hot springs within about a 20-minute hike. Continue north on an additional 20-minute hike on Waterfall Spur that will take you to a very high waterfall.
