This is the standard opening trail for just about every loop at Carvins Cove. It has just about everything any hiker needs in a trail. It has climbs and descents, and, overall, is quite pleasant.

It's not going to give you super technical climbs or knee pounding descents, but it will get you warmed up if you choose to go to the "uppers" where you'll indeed find those descents and climbs.
