This area features many shady, wooded areas, in addition to open prairie and creekside paths. This route is mostly crushed limestone, so the trail usually stays pretty dry, even after a period of wet weather. There are some terrain changes and hills to make the hike interesting. This trail is an especially good spot for wildlife sightings.
