Description

This is the east side of the Galloway Creek Greenway that is part of the extensive trail system in and around Springfield, Missouri. For more information, visit the sponsoring organization's website for this trail and others in the area.

This piece of the trail is a bit noisy as it starts alongside a six-lane divided highway, then follows part of the James River. People fish and kayak and canoe on this usually calm river. The trail connects on the west side of Highway 65 to the Springfield Conservation Center trail system and more of the Ozark Greenways system. Bicyclists also use this trail.
