This is a short connector trail that cuts the Yellow Trail Loop about in half. The junction for getting onto this trail from the Yellow Trail - South is on the top of a ridge. There is a junction on the Yellow Trail a little to the south that could be confused for the entrance to the Green Trail, on the side of a hill instead of at the top, but the west-going trail at that junction only leads to a drainage ditch.
