Food is not allowed on the trails. Wild animals should never associate humans with food. Do not feed animals. Leave plants and animals as you find them. Do not pick flowers or dig up plants. Do not tease or try to catch animals, insects or reptiles. Dogs are only allowed in the parking lot on leash.

Description

From the parking lot, you can jump straight onto the trail. This trail barely makes it above sea-level and tends to flood easily. The first half of the trail wanders through a heavily-forested area full of palmettos. Look out for the white-top posts that mark the trail in this first half.

Eventually, the trail turns left and then doubles back around towards the Plantation Trail - Loop A. From here on out, it is a straight line back Christmas Road, where you can turn left and head back to the parking lot or continue on Plantation Trail - Loop A, Wood Duck Trail, or the Ring Levee Trail.

Flora & Fauna

Black and yellow garden spiders (not banana spiders), owls, hogs, alligators, and corn snakes.
