Description

Of the handful of hiker-only trails in Hoosier National Forest, this ranks near the top. The difficulty is moderate, and the chance for solitude is superb.

Starting at the junction with the Terrill Ridge Trail, the trail makes its way down into a drainage on a mixed tread before climbing out of the drainage to a stretch of flat land and the trail's end back at the Terrill Ridge Trail.

This trail is popular with overnight campers at marked and unmarked campsites. The beginning and ending legs of the trail receive the heaviest traffic because of the campsites and the graveyard, but your company quickly thins toward the middle of the trail.

Great Hiking only trail. Only a few elevation changes. There are also several good camping spots with good water access. 5mi
