Description

Starting from Santeelah Road at Rattle Ford Bridge, the trail begins with a gradual climb, crossing several small streams before climbing up to the ridge between miles 1.8 and 2.6.

Once on the ridge, the trail continues to steadily climb until the junction with the Wolf-Laurel Trail at mile 5.0. This pleasant climb continues until a series of steep switchbacks from mile 5.9 to 6.1 up to the intersection with the Haoe Lead Trail #53 at Stratton Bald (which is no longer bald, and so offers few views).

Bearing left at the junction with Haoe Lead Trail #53, the trail descends pleasantly for the next mile to Bob Bald. This bald offers stellar views of the surrounding mountains and lakes as well as providing a multitude of excellent campsites.

Continuing on past Bob Bald, a piped spring can be found about 0.2 miles further down the trail. The Stratton Bald Connector Trail terminates at the junction with the Bob Bald Connector #54A.
