Description

This trail starts at the end of the Fisherman's Trail and takes you out of the bottomland forest into the upland prairie. The trail is mostly in open prairieland so shade is scarce. The open meadows provide great opportunities for bird watching as a ream of species has been identified in the natural area. See the City of Denton's website for a birding checklist.

The trail then terminates back at the parking lot after passing the Clear Creek Learning Center and picnic area.
