The Lake Wainamu Track runs around the edge of Lake Wainamu, as its name suggests.

The trail is mostly level with either gravel or grassy singletrack dominating the trail. The route ends meandering through the edge of a series of sand dunes. If dunes aren't what you were hoping for, you can hike through the ankle deep stream to reach Bethell's Beach.

There are great views of the Giant Black sand dunes and plenty of swimming spots in the Lake!

Native New Zealand bush and long grassy areas.
