Careful during hunting season, even though there should be no hunters within 150 yds of the trail, it's smart to wear bright colors.

Description

The Red Trail, just as it sounds, is marked on the trees with red paint. There are many other portions of the red trail in this area, which you'll see here and out on the trail.

This portion of the Red Trail (Fire Road) goes from Rt 32 (Sykesville Rd) to Louisville Rd. There is parking for the trail at both Rt 32, and Bollinger trailheads, but no parking is available at Louisville Rd. There are two to three stream crossings that are ankle deep between Bollinger and Louisville.
