Dogs Leashed
Features
Birding · Fall Colors · Wildlife
This trail was conceived and constructed by mountain bikers. It is also popular with trail runners (both UNC and local High School Cross Country teams practice here) but the bikers fly through and blind curves can be dangerous. Please be on alert and give way.
Description
If you enter the trail at Seawell School Entrance One, you can park along the road and jump on
The Vine. Fifty feet in you'll access the trail on your left.
Things start out flat and comfortable and then the trail begins to roll along, darting up and down hills as it generally trends upward. At a few point, there are access trails coming in off of
The Vine or other trails that will take you to Neverland Loops.
In general, just continue straight through or look for an indicator arrow. About 2.5 miles in, there is an access trail by the Unity Center for Peace (some folks park there). Keep going and when you pass the paved
Carolina North Greenway, you'll only have a short section until you finish on the
Pumpkin Loop Trail.
