This route features great hiking from a remote, undiscovered lagoon up to "The Twins".

You need to contact el Ruso at EcoTraful to coordinate the boat tour.

This is a must for hikers that make it down to Villa Traful. In order to hike this trail, you need to cross the lake on a Boat Tour that will first show you around the Sinking Forest. Due to a sinking tectonic plate, the forest and lake are slowly sinking into the earth. Next, the tour will leave you for the whole day on the lakeside where the trailhead is.

The trail follows up a creek bed until you get to the col of the mountain. Here you can start seeing the first of two small lagoons "Las Mellizas", which translates to "The Twins". One has a greenish color to it, while the other is very blue.

You can trek around the first one until you get to the second one, I just hikeed to the lip of the first one before returning to have a great time with my family on the lake!

Try to get down to the Sinking Forest, there is no other geological phenomena like that ALIVE!
