Description
Part of the Montour Woods Conservation Area, this is a very nice trail with parking on both ends. The trail can become muddy at times, but the elevation is pretty flat with only about 90 feet in elevation change.
There is a nice pavilion at the east end of the trail for picnics. Shortly after the start of the trail, you'll see a small waterfall on Meeks Run. There are two small creek crossings along the trail where you'll need to hop across rocks. Having waterproof shoes and a walking stick can be helpful.
If you start at Hassam Road, you'll take a
Connector Trail, which will end up taking you through a wetland on top of a boardwalk.
This trail is blazed blue, but not well, though it's not hard to follow the trail without the blazes.
You can pick up other trails in the conservation area such as the
Powerline Trail,
Oil Well Trail,
Cave Trail, and the Honeydew Trail.
