Overview
The trail is several hundred feet above the canyon floor. It has a gentle grade and zig zags through a half dozen side canyons.
Description
This hike really makes me forget I'm in a big city. I saw a group of deer in here once. Worsham Canyon is really deep so you can't see much outside the canyon.
The trailhead is at the end of Philadelphia St. Take Philadelphia St. past Painter, through Whittier College, into the hills until it dead ends. Facing north you find a gated entrance. Just hop over.
This is the
Worsham Canyon Spur. Go about 1/2 mile uphill to the junction with the
Worsham Canyon Trail. Take the right fork on this trail. You’ll have about a mile of gentle switchbacks before you have to start climbing again. It’s a nice breather after the climb up. Head on up to the junction with the
Skyline Trail: Turnbull - Hacienda. Turn around here and go back the way you came.
