Description

This is a very challenging and long hike, with approximately 3000 feet of elevation gain over rocky terrain with not much shade. However, it's a great workout that offers some beautiful views of Reno as it traverses through the eastern hills of the Carson Range. Hunter Lake itself is more of a shallow pond that is nestled in a scenic willow-fringed meadow, but still makes for a scenic destination.

I couldn't finish this one, it was far too snowy. Somebody else did & hats off to them. They literally had the trail set for me. 10.8mi — 5h 50m
